Title
Prottoy: A smart phone based mobile application to detect autism of children in bangladesh
Abstract
In developing countries, autism is needed to detect at early ages that helps us to improve the conditions of children. The diagnosis of autism is a challenging issue in the low and middle income countries due to lack of trained professionals, low cost available tools and infrastructure. In this paper, we proposed a mobile interactive automated application named prottoy to screen autism between 3 to 11 years children using Bengali version of Childhood Autism Spectrum Test. It was translated into Bengali by following cross cultural validation schemes. Pictorial representation of each question was placed into this apps. So, parents can easily check autism of their children by understanding the scenarios of each question. After screening, this app is automatically manipulated user response and detected the possibility of autism of their children. We expect that this app will promote screening that help us to detect autism early of the children in Bangladesh.
